Lyke Wake Walk 2016

We will attempt the Lyke Wake Walk again this year on the weekend of 18th June. This is only a couple of days from Solstice, to maximise the hours of daylight.

This year, we will be following the reverse route - starting in Ravenscar and ending in Osmotherly. This will mean the two killer ravines are done whilst we are still fresh! Leaving little more than hard slog when we are flagging.

This year, our charity is Bobs choice, and he has decided on Meningitis Now Charity Websiter Here

We have also decided that this year, since we went all out for best time on the first crossing, we will take things much more steadily, and make use of much more of the allowed 24h. Its going to be a steady bimble!

Between now and the 18th of June, we have to train. Not just the very long endurance marches like the Doncastrian Way and our God and Water, but more on the hills, starting soon with a full circle of the Kinder Plateau.

I will be setting up the sponsorship Just Giving page shortly
